About The Position
MRI Technologist Job Summary We are seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess an associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology. Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is preferred. You will be responsible for operating the MRI machine efficiently and ensuring patient comfort during scanning procedures while coordinating with physicians for timely result delivery.
Requirements
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as an MRI Technologist.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Experience with GE scanners is mandatory.
- ARRT certification is required.
- Injection certification is mandatory.
- New York State Rad Tech license - must be willing to obtain after starting.
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology.
- Level 1 trauma center experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and safe scanning environment.
- Coordinate with physicians to provide accurate diagnostic imaging.
- Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to ensure comfort.
- Insert IVs when necessary for testing.
- Document all procedures while ensuring patient confidentiality.
- Perform patient care tasks as required.
