Functions of Position: •Maintains established department policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance, and safety. •Prepares written documentation as required by the profession and the department, such as MRI metal questionnaires, contrast consents, and other such documentation. •Performs MRI examinations. •Checks equipment, supplies and accessories on a regular basis. •Checks images in PACS including evaluating images for technical quality. •Maintains MRI and other equipment in efficient operating order; notifies supervisor of major malfunctions in a timely manner. •Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work areas. •Transports patients to MRI room; prepares and maintains room. •Requests and orders supplies as necessary to keep materials on hand at all times. •Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-services meetings. •Attend meetings as required. •Room Preparation Preparing imaging rooms and assuring they are clean and ready for the next patient. Changing linen, stocking sheets, and restocking supplies. •Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. Qualifications: •Must be registered in MR by ARRT or AMRIT within 12 months. •New graduates of an approved school accepted. MRI experience desirable.
