About The Position

We are looking for a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology. Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is preferred. The MRI Technologist should efficiently operate the MRI machine, ensuring patient comfort during the scanning procedure and coordinating with the patient's physician to ensure timely results. Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to stand for extended periods is essential.

Requirements

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in MRI.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association ONLY).
• Must have experience with GE MRI scanners.
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
• ARRT certification required.
• Injection certification is necessary.
• NYS Rad Tech license must be obtained post-employment.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans, clearly explaining the procedure to enhance comfort.
• Insert IVs when necessary for the test.
• Document all procedures while ensuring patient confidentiality.
• Provide patient care tasks as needed.
