Requirements

Graduate of a JRCERT-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
Current New York State Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT).
ARRT Certification in MRI required.
Injection Certification required.
Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, physical sciences, and MRI physics.
Excellent patient care, communication, and technical skills.
Ability to maintain MRI safety and quality standards.

Nice To Haves

Minimum two years of MRI experience in a hospital or high-volume clinical setting.

Responsibilities

Perform MRI imaging procedures according to department protocols.
Position patients and apply appropriate coils to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
Review patient safety questionnaires prior to MRI procedures.
Maintain MRI safety standards and a ferromagnetic-free environment.
Educate patients regarding MRI procedures and required compliance instructions.
Evaluate images for technical quality and diagnostic acceptability.
Ensure accurate documentation, labeling, and transmission of images to PACS.
Enter patient tracking and scheduling information into radiology information systems.
Scan and maintain patient-related documentation.
Assist physicians during MRI examinations as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of MRI suites and equipment.
Monitor and replenish department supplies.
Adhere to infection prevention and control standards.
