About The Position
We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging procedures in a fast-paced acute care hospital environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong MRI technical expertise, excellent patient care skills, and experience working with advanced MRI equipment.
Requirements
- Associate Degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License.
- Current ARRT (MRI) or ARMRIT Certification.
- Minimum 1 year of MRI experience in an acute care setting.
- Experience operating MRI equipment and performing diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Strong patient care, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a hospital environment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with GE MRI equipment.
- BLS Certification.
- Previous experience using EPIC.
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
- Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Screen patients for MRI safety contraindications and ensure compliance with MRI safety standards.
- Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond appropriately to patient needs.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients regarding MRI procedures and imaging expectations.
- Assist with quality assurance activities and equipment maintenance procedures.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection prevention standards, and regulatory requirements.
