About The Position

FlexStaff is seeking a Radiologic Technologist with MRI experience to work for one of our external clients, the largest city health system for their location in Queens, NY. Available shifts: 11:00AM-7:30PM with alternating weekends. In this role you would be performing typical tasks for special procedures with diagnostic and interventional radiography in Magnetic Resonance Imaging.

Requirements

Valid license and current registration to practice Diagnostic Radiography as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the NYSDOH
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
IV Contrast certs
BCLS

Responsibilities

Performs procedures on patients whose conditions require specialized expertise.
Assists Radiologists, other physicians and allied health care professionals in performing diagnostic or treatment procedures.
Performs diagnostic testing on equipment and general maintenance.
Monitors patient and equipment condition during procedure and reports changes to appropriate health care professional.
Assists and guides radiographers in the performance of a wide variety of x-ray procedures.
Trains and assists radiographers in a wide variety of x-ray procedures.
Plans, schedules and coordinates the day-to-day activities of the area to ensure continuous flow of work.
Supervises radiographers and ancillary personnel assigned to the area.
Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment to ensure operational viability of the area.
Supervises the delivery of radiological services, in accordance with established standards and procedures, for the service area or unit.
Recommends changes and improvements relating to the delivery of radiological services.
Participates in the development of training programs for radiographic personnel, ancillary personnel and allied health care professionals.
Demonstrates new or revised techniques, procedures and equipment.
May perform radiologic procedures, as required.
Performs special procedures including diagnostic and interventional radiography (e.g., C.T., M.R.I., and Mammography).
Recommends area assignment of personnel to coordinate activities within the department with other activities and services and represents the department in interdepartmental operations and meetings.
Participates in quality assurance activities, including coordination, control and maintenance of technical equipment.
Participates in and coordinates procurement and storage of supplies and makes recommendations regarding supply and equipment needs.
Performs research and participates in special projects involving evaluation of equipment and delivery of service.
May be assigned duties and responsibilities of immediate Supervisor in their absence on a temporary basis.
