MRI Technologist - Outpatient
About The Position
Fairfax Radiology Centers is seeking an MRI Technologist for their dedicated outpatient MRI center in Fairfax, VA. This role utilizes advanced GE 1.5T and 3T MRI systems in a patient-friendly setting. The technologist will focus on delivering high-quality imaging and patient care in a calm, structured outpatient environment, distinct from a hospital setting. The position offers a consistent weekday evening schedule with no holidays or call requirements. Opportunities for skill expansion in areas like cardiac MRI, breast imaging, and research studies are available, supported by a collaborative team with strong clinical expertise.
Requirements
- 6+ months of MRI experience or completion of an MRI training program
- ARRT (R) or MRI certification, or ARMRIT certification
- BLS certification
Nice To Haves
- Experience in outpatient imaging environments
- Familiarity with PACS/RIS systems
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and specialty MRI exams, including breast imaging.
- Deliver high-quality imaging with strong attention to patient safety and comfort.
- Operate GE 1.5T and 3T MRI systems.
- Follow MRI safety protocols and ensure accurate documentation in PACS/RIS.
- Collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams to deliver timely diagnostic imaging.
- Support patients through exams with clear communication and reassurance.
