About The Position

Ascension St. Vincent's Riverside Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist for their Magnetic Resonance Imaging department. This is a full-time position with weekday night shifts. The role involves capturing high-quality cross-sectional images, guiding and educating patients, maintaining diagnostic records, upholding safety standards, and ensuring equipment functionality.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Capture high-quality cross-sectional images by accurately positioning patients and selecting precise technical parameters to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment planning.
  • Guide and educate patients through the pre-screening and scheduling process, providing clear communication to alleviate anxiety and ensure total safety prior to the examination.
  • Maintain flawless diagnostic records by verifying patient data, applying correct markers, and promptly submitting high-quality images to PACS to support seamless continuity of care.
  • Uphold rigorous safety standards by strictly following radiation safety guidelines and protocols to protect patients, yourself, and the clinical team.
  • Ensure operational readiness by monitoring equipment functionality and maintaining a clean, orderly clinical environment to prevent delays in patient care.
