About The Position

As an MRI Technologist, you play a crucial role in patient care by producing high-quality diagnostic images through the operation of an MRI scanner. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Radiology program required; current registration with the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (AART)(R)(MR)
Current CPR certification for Health Care Providers
Knowledge and understanding of clinical magnetic resonance imaging and CT principles, procedures, techniques, and equipment.
Knowledge of specifications, standards, and tolerances for the operation of MRI and CT equipment and facility
Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills including the ability to manage interactions with difficult people.
Ability to properly position patients to provide quality imaging.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to operate high field clinical magnetic resonance imaging and CT scanner.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, management and peers
Ability to foster a cooperative work environment

Nice To Haves

Minimum one (1) year experience in MRI preferred, and will cross train the right candidate in CT.

Responsibilities

Perform MRI procedures at a tech level in accordance with protocols
Maintain proper quality control procedures
Must have knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to MRI exams and equipment
Establish and maintain effective working relationship with patients, medical staff and the public
Knowledge of concepts, standards, procedures and equipment
Maintain a safe and appropriate work area. Maintain inventory of supplies.
Adhere to employer work practices as described in TDC Occupational Exposure Plan
Knowledge of basic patient care and activities that may be necessary during exam
Attend required meetings and participate in committees as requested
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Work as a team member within the imaging department and all other departments
Document work processes as required
Perform other duties as assigned
Travel between the Broomfield and Boulder Office will be required
