About The Position
The MRI Technologist performs scheduled MRI examinations and ensures MRI safety measures are strictly followed. The role is responsible for sending images to PACS for physician review, maintaining patient confidentiality, and supporting a positive work environment through effective communication with patients, coworkers, physicians, and management. The position is per diem at Orthopedic Associates of Dutchess County, serving the Poughkeepsie/Kingston locations, with listed work hours of 6:45 a.m. to 6:45 p.m.
Requirements
- Prior high-field MRI experience in a hospital and/or radiology center.
- Radiologic Technology degree, at minimum.
- RT and/or MRI license.
- ARRT registration.
Responsibilities
- Perform all scheduled MRI examinations safely.
- Ensure patient safety within the MRI suite and adhere to MRI safety standards.
- Send images properly to PACS for physician review.
- Check the daily MRI schedule to ensure prescriptions are ready for the next day's schedule.
- Maintain confidentiality of written and electronic information and observe patient rights.
- Contribute to a positive work atmosphere through appropriate behavior and communication with patients, clients, coworkers, physicians, and management.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Radiology.
