MRI Technologist - Per Diem
About The Position
University Radiology is seeking an experienced, motivated per diem MRI Technologist for its imaging offices in Cherry Hill and Moorestown, New Jersey. The role performs imaging procedures according to physician orders, department protocols, established imaging standards, safety guidelines, and departmental requirements. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while maintaining image quality and patient safety. This per diem position includes Saturday shifts from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with coverage available every other Saturday. The technologist will work in or near areas containing specialized imaging equipment and must follow all department and facility safety protocols. The listed pay rate is $55 per hour.
Requirements
- ARRT(MR) certification.
- At least 3 years of MR work experience.
- Experience with high-field magnets.
Nice To Haves
- GE high-field magnet experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI procedures according to physician orders, department protocols, safety guidelines, and departmental standards.
- Screen patients for MRI safety, including implants, devices, and contrast eligibility.
- Position patients and select appropriate coils and sequences to produce diagnostic-quality images.
- Administer IV contrast as permitted by credentials and facility policy.
- Evaluate images for quality and completeness before they are sent to radiologists.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Adhere to safety protocols when working in or near specialized imaging equipment.
