This position may be filled as an MRI Technologist Level 1, 2, or 3, depending on individual experience, certifications, education, and other qualifications. The MRI Technologist I position is an entry‑level role that, under direct supervision, performs routine MRI examinations in accordance with established protocols, safety guidelines, and quality standards. The role involves utilizing core knowledge, skills, abilities, and available resources to provide safe, high‑quality, efficient, and patient‑centered care and support services under routine or emergent conditions. Care is delivered under appropriate supervision across a variety of settings. Responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures, correlating clinical history with physician‑ordered exams, safely administering contrast, recognizing and correcting imaging artifacts, communicating effectively with patients, families, and the care team, accurately transferring images and data, performing quality control checks and equipment maintenance, documenting in EMR/PACS, and participating in continuing education and professional development. Specific responsibilities apply if trained in Cardiac MRI, including acquiring standard cardiac imaging sequences, applying ECG gating techniques, troubleshooting ECG signal issues, and recognizing common rhythm patterns. General responsibilities include performing other duties as assigned.
