About The Position

Fairfax Radiology Centers, the largest radiology practice in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, is seeking an MRI Technologist for their Ballston Center. This full-time position involves providing advanced MRI imaging using state-of-the-art Philips 3T MRI systems. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, ensuring patients feel comfortable and cared for during complex imaging procedures. The center utilizes advanced Philips 3T MRI technology in an ambient room setting. The practice is committed to providing GE-specific training to enhance employee skills and experience, valuing strong MRI fundamentals regardless of prior experience with Siemens, Phillips, or GE.

Requirements

6+ months of MRI experience OR successful completion of a formal MRI educational training program
ARRT (R) or MRI certification OR ARMRIT certification required
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Strong technical skills combined with excellent communication and patient care abilities

Nice To Haves

Experience with Siemens, Phillips, or GE MRI systems (GE-specific training will be provided)

Responsibilities

Perform general and specialty MRI exams, including Brain, Body, MSK, Breast, and MR Neurogram
Operate Philips 3T MRI technology with precision and care
Embrace a patient-centered approach, providing exceptional customer service and professionalism throughout the imaging process
Maintain accurate imaging records and follow established clinical protocols
