About The Position
Hartford Hospital, a Level 1 Trauma Center and one of the largest teaching hospitals in New England, is seeking highly motivated MRI Technologists to join their busy MRI department. The department operates 24/7 on 3 GE High Field Scanners and performs MRI exams to assist referring physicians in diagnosis. The MRI Technologist will prepare and position patients, inject contrast media, and select appropriate technical parameters to produce cross-sectional images of the body.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiography program (ARRT) or graduate from American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) with an Associate Degree with focus in medical image preferably MRI.
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
Responsibilities
- Performs MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) exam in the hospital by selecting specific software parameters according to established protocols in order to assist the referring physician in diagnosis.
- Prepares and positions patients.
- Injects patients with contrast media.
- Selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body.
