About The Position

The MRI Technologist (Warren Clinic) performs diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging procedures in a clinic environment, ensuring high-quality images for accurate physician interpretation. This role involves patient preparation, safety monitoring, and collaboration with radiologists and clinical staff to deliver exceptional patient care.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
• Registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT).
• Minimum 6 months related experience.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology as it relates to MRI imaging.
• Knowledge of safety standards, including screening for metallic implants and other contraindications.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal that present clear and concise information to guide and reassure patients.
• Sound ability to maintain professional and courteous and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
• Ability to follow precise imaging protocols and maintain quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operates MRI equipment to acquire diagnostic images according to established protocols.
• Prepares patients for MRI exams, explaining procedures, screening for contraindications, and positioning for optimal imaging.
• Monitors patient safety throughout the imaging process, including observing for adverse reactions and responding to emergencies.
• Collaborates with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure imaging meets diagnostic requirements.
• Maintains accurate patient records, document procedures, and ensure images are properly stored and archived.
• Performs routine equipment quality checks and assist in troubleshooting technical issues.
• Adheres to all radiation safety, infection control, and HIPAA regulations.
• Participates in continuous education and professional development to stay current with MRI technology and best practices.
