About The Position

Capitol Imaging Services (Homosassa Open MRI) is seeking a dynamic and compassionate MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI procedures in an outpatient setting. The role focuses on patient safety, comfort, compliance with imaging protocols, and compassionate, patient-centered care. The schedule is two 10-hour days, Thursday and Friday, on the day shift. There is also an opportunity to supervise and train.

Requirements

Associate or bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technologist or MRI program.
Current ARRT (MR) certification or eligibility required.
Active state licensure, if applicable.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
Knowledge of MRI safety standards, protocols, and equipment operation.

Nice To Haves

ARRT (R) certification preferred.
1–2 years of MRI experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical training will be considered.

Responsibilities

Operate MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images for interpretation by radiologists.
Verify patient identification, review exam requisitions, and confirm appropriate imaging protocols.
Prepare and position patients for MRI exams, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the procedure.
Administer contrast agents according to physician orders and institutional protocols.
Monitor patients for adverse reactions or discomfort during scans.
Maintain detailed procedure and patient records in the PACS/RIS system.
Follow MRI safety policies, including screening patients, staff, and visitors for contraindications.
Regularly inspect equipment and promptly report technical issues.
Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate, timely imaging results.
Participate in continuing education to maintain certification and stay current on imaging technology advancements.
Supervise and train, as an opportunity provided by the role.
