About The Position

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, the MRI Technologist performs diagnostic MR exams using appropriate imaging equipment and techniques. The position follows Beaumont’s philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times.

The role is based at Corewell Health Farmington Hills Hospital, a 305-bed teaching facility with Level II trauma status. This is a casual, part-time position with variable hours, days, and shifts. The stated weekend frequency is every fourth weekend.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent.
• Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiography program or a JRCNMT-accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• One year of relevant experience.
• Hold one of the listed required credentials upon hire: ARRT MRI, ARRT Radiation Therapist, ARRT Radiographer, ARRT Sonographer, ARDMS Sonographer, ARRT Nuclear Medicine Technologist, NMTCB Nuclear Medicine Technologist, ARDMS Vascular Technologist, or ARDMS Musculoskeletal credential.
• Hold ARRT MRI or ARMRIT board registry certification within one year of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross upon hire.

Nice To Haves

• One to three years of clinical experience beyond staff radiographer level.
• ARMRIT certification upon hire.
