About The Position

George Washington University Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to provide clinical services according to MRI practice standards and serve as a resource to MRI students and other technologists while supporting optimal department functions. The position reports to the designated leader within the Imaging Department.

George Washington University Hospital is a 395-bed tertiary care academic medical center in downtown Washington, DC, operated by Universal Health Services, Inc. The hospital offers care in areas including trauma, neonatal intensive care, cardiac care, cancer, neurosciences, women’s health, and advanced surgical procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Diploma from a certified school of Radiology.
• Current ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory requirements, including The Joint Commission, American College of Radiology (ACR), and Title 22 standards and guidelines.
• Demonstrated compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Strong leadership, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to relate to clinical personnel and medical staff and interact well with the public.
• Working knowledge of computers and basic management applications.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of experience as an MRI technologist and acute care experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in healthcare preferred.
