About The Position

The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of MR scans and related procedures at a technical level by utilizing equipment appropriately to perform high quality imaging. This position is also responsible for following established standards and procedures and determining necessary adjustment for optimum results. The MRI Technologist ensures safety for patients, visitors and workers who enter the MR zones this includes compliance with patient care quality standards as it relates to the care provided to all age groups and patient condition.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology required.
  • Graduate from an AMA accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) required.
  • Arkansas Department of Health Radiologic Technologist required
  • BLS/CPR required upon hire or obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • Must be knowledgeable in cross sectional anatomy, medical terminology and possess generalized skills in medical imaging, general and other special procedures that are performed within the department.
  • Strong patient care and communication skills
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality images
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and on-call rotations if required. (Thirty-minute response time for callback.)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science/Radiology/Other related field preferred.
  • Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist in MRI preferred.
  • Minimum of one year (1) experience as a staff technologist or tech extern
  • Three years (3) experience in Radiologic Technology, preferably in MRI Technology.
  • Proficiency and expertise in MRI equipment operation
