About The Position

SimonMed Imaging is seeking an MRI Technologist to provide advanced outpatient imaging for patients and referring physicians. The technologist operates MRI scanners and selects imaging techniques based on physician orders and patient condition, producing high-resolution diagnostic images across protocols such as brain, spine, cardiac, musculoskeletal, and abdominal imaging. The role requires sound MRI physics and cross-sectional anatomy knowledge, careful contrast administration, and review of images before they are sent to a radiologist. The technologist prioritizes MRI safety throughout every procedure: screening patients, enforcing Zone I–IV safety protocols, assessing contrast contraindications, monitoring patients, and responding appropriately to unexpected situations. The role also includes maintaining complete patient documentation, using PACS and imaging software, managing workflow, conducting routine quality-control checks, and maintaining equipment. Technologists provide clear explanations and comfortable positioning, support patients with varied needs, and may mentor staff and students. This is an on-site, clinical, non-exempt role in an outpatient setting. The posting describes a predictable schedule, holidays off, and no nights, on-call shifts, or weekends. SimonMed offers a collaborative team environment, modern MRI systems, cross-training, and opportunities to grow into advanced protocols, leadership, or training roles.
