Join Midstate Radiology Associates (MRA) as a Full Time, MRI Technologist to work at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in Plainville. This role involves operating equipment and performing diagnostic and therapeutic MRI procedures on patients according to established protocols to assist the physician in diagnosis and treatment. The technologist will follow established policies and procedures set by the department, hospital, state, ACR, TJC, and OSHA. The position requires performing diagnostic MRI scanning procedures, participating in complex invasive MRI exams, starting intravenous sites, assessing existing sites, and injecting intravenous contrast. Practicing according to the site's MRI Safety Policy, maintaining MRI equipment, cleaning and disinfecting equipment and areas, and reporting hazardous conditions or equipment breakdowns are also key responsibilities. The role includes demonstrating yearly competencies, assessing physician's orders and patient requisitions, documenting pertinent patient and exam information, preparing examinations for interpretation, and accurately inputting data into the RIS. Computer skills for report preparation and correspondence are necessary, as is performing and documenting weekly quality assurance testing on equipment. Effective teamwork, communication, cooperation, and collaboration are essential. The technologist will also provide clinical supervision and instruction to students.
