About The Position

The MRI Technologist performs MRI procedures using approved techniques and standards and operates MRI equipment safely and responsibly. The role follows radiologist-established protocols, completes patient screening and assessment, performs venipuncture and contrast administration as qualified, and provides supportive service to patients and colleagues. This is a per diem, part-time, on-site position at Virtua Health in Voorhees, New Jersey.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
Meet one of the listed credentialing pathways: ARRT registration plus six months of supervised MR scanning experience; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in an allied health field, another imaging-modality certification, and six months of supervised MR scanning; or ARMRIT or CAMRT registration as an MR Technologist for employees in the role prior to 8/30/26.
CPR certification required.

Nice To Haves

Previous MRI experience preferred.
MRI board certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform high-quality MRI studies according to protocols established by radiologists.
Film MRI exams using proper window and level settings.
Follow room setup protocols and obtain the patient assessment form.
Perform venipuncture and administer contrast medium according to established protocols.
Verify the imaging order and patient identification before each MRI exam.
Screen patients for medical appropriateness and potential projectiles before they enter the exam room.
Complete and validate the patient assessment form before the patient enters the MRI room.
Provide superior customer service and communicate effectively with patients and personnel, using tact and diplomacy and maintaining supportive relationships.
Follow MRI equipment safety guidelines and Virtua policies and procedures.
