About The Position
The MRI Technologist II operates MRI equipment to obtain diagnostic images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies, according to Radiologist's directions and established procedures. This role involves positioning patients, administering injections of contrast media, and manipulating images to ensure a high-quality exam. The technologist is also responsible for delivering excellent customer service, being attentive to patient needs, and explaining procedures to reduce anxiety and promote trust.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT (American Registry of MRI Technologists) certified
- Current CPR Certification (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
Nice To Haves
- A minimum of an Associate’s Degree or higher
- IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) licensure
- Prior MRI experience or other radiology experience
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to troubleshoot problems as related to the software
Responsibilities

- Delivers and ensures customer service in all aspects to job, being attentive of eye contact, facial/body expressions and tone of voice.
- Explains procedure to patient, giving opportunity for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust.
