About The Position

The MRI Technologist will perform quality MRI images per physician’s orders while providing excellent service to patients. This is a part-time (0.8 FTE) Float MRI Technologist position primarily covering the Edina and Eden Prairie locations, with potential to work at the Burnsville location as well. The schedule mainly consists of day shifts with some evening shifts, typically ranging from 5:30 AM - 1:30 PM, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, or 12:30 PM - 8:30 PM. Availability to cover one weekend per month is required. The company offers a fun, flexible work environment with opportunities for growth and the potential to move to a 1.0 Full-time status. The role utilizes brand new United Scanners that provide excellent image quality and faster scan times. Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a physician-led group of local medical practices focused on patient empowerment in healthcare.

Requirements

Graduate of an ARRT or ARMRIT approved program
ARRT Certification Magnetic Resonance, ARMRIT Certified, or a minimum of 1 year of full time experience in an MRI department required.

Responsibilities

Perform MRI procedures in close proximity to super conducting magnet on designated portions of the body for physicians’ use in diagnosing and treating illness or injury
Inform and prepare patients for procedures including researching implanted devices
Maintain patient files, including internal and external films
Prepare, clean and stock work area with supplies
Coordinates equipment maintenance and repair
Maintains the necessary precautions for excessive radiofrequency exposure
May include IV contrast administration as needed
Any and all other duties as assigned
