About The Position
Fairfax Radiology Centers, the largest radiology practice in the Washington, DC metro area, is seeking a skilled and patient-focused MRI Technologist (PRN) to join their team at the MRI Center in Fairfax, VA. In this role, you will work with advanced imaging technology and provide an exceptional patient experience while supporting safe and accurate diagnostic imaging. You will enjoy working in a GE Show Site with the largest outpatient MRI Center in North America.
Requirements
- 6+ months of MRI experience and/or completion of a formal MRI training program
- ARRT certification in RT(R) or MRI OR ARMRIT certification (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MRI imaging using state-of-the-art GE 1.5T and Philips 3T systems in an ambient suite designed for patient comfort
- Support patients throughout their exam, ensuring safety, accuracy, and an outstanding experience
- Perform general and specialty MRI exams, including Cardiac MRI and MRI-guided breast biopsies
- Provide patient-centered MRI services with professionalism and exceptional customer care
- Ensure safe imaging practices and compliance with regulatory and clinical standards
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients before, during, and after their exam
