About The Position

Christian Hospital, a part of BJC HealthCare System, is seeking a Full-Time Radiology Supervisor for MRI Support Services. This role is responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of primary departments of responsibility, which may include Diagnostic Radiology, CT, MRI, Mammography, Interventional, Nuclear Medicine and Ultrasound. The supervisor will manage staff, monitor resources, serve as a liaison between staff and physicians, evaluate care, and may participate in budget development and adherence.

Requirements

  • Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R) and/or MR
  • MR Certification
  • 2 years of relevant experience
  • 2 years of leadership and/or supervisor experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Prior Leadership experience
  • Registered MRI
  • Highly Motivated and Task orientated

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree or Trade School equivalency (or higher level of education)
  • Associate's Degree - Nuc Med/Radiography/Sonography
  • 5-10 years experience
  • 2-5 years Supervisor Experience
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
  • IEMA - Illinois only, excl MRI

Responsibilities

  • Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans.
  • Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  • Monitors and organizes department resources to maximize productivity and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Serves as liaison between staff and physicians.
  • Evaluates the care and testing delivered and intervenes appropriately to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • May participate in the development of departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets and having direct responsibility for adhering to those goals. This includes responding to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
