About The Position

This full-time position is based at University Hospital in Madison, WI but will travel to other local locations and is scheduled Monday through Friday, with core hours between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. Hours may vary for one off shift rounding and operational needs.

UW Health is seeking a Manager, Radiology – MRI Services to lead one of the region's most advanced and rapidly growing MRI programs. You will oversee daily operations across a sophisticated imaging environment that includes cutting-edge technology, expanding outpatient access, and a commitment to exceptional patient care. You'll partner with radiologists, technologists, operational leaders, and multidisciplinary teams to drive strategic growth, optimize performance, enhance patient experiences, and shape the future of MRI services across UW Health.

Requirements

• Proven healthcare leadership experience with a passion for imaging services
• Strong operational, financial, and strategic planning skills
• Experience leading teams through change, growth, and process improvement
• A collaborative leader who inspires excellence, builds relationships, and delivers results
• MRI expertise with a commitment to quality, safety, and patient-centered care
• Graduate of a Radiology/Medical Imaging school Required
• 3 years health care operations supervisory experience or five (5) years of progressive relevant experience with demonstrated success and leadership skills Required
• Certification by appropriate Radiology/Medical Imaging body through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Upon Hire Required or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) Upon Hire Required or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) Upon Hire Required or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Upon Hire Required

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree or Master’s Degree in in Business, Healthcare Administration, Physical Science, Biological Science, or other relevant field Preferred
• Experience with an academic medical center or complex healthcare system Preferred
• Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA) Preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead a growing MRI enterprise across multiple hospitals and outpatient locations
• Help guide major technology investments, including MRI upgrades, replacements, and strategic expansion projects
• Influence operational strategy, workforce development, patient access, quality initiatives, and financial performance
• Collaborate with nationally recognized physicians, researchers, and imaging experts in an academic health system known for innovation and excellence
• Develop and mentor high-performing teams while fostering a culture of engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement
