About The Position

Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush (MOR) is seeking an MRI Patient Representative for their Float Pool. This full-time position will primarily be responsible for the registration process, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining professionalism. The role is mainly based at the outpatient clinic in Chicago near the Illinois Medical District, with flexibility required to travel to other clinic sites for coverage. MOR is a nationally recognized leader in orthopedic services, with its program ranked Top 10 in Orthopedics by U.S. News and World Report.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Minimum two years' experience in a customer service position.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum one year experience in a medical office setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the highest possible level of customer service standards in patient check-in, status update, answering phone calls, etc.
• Oversees patient tracking in the Electronic Medical Record while collecting co-pays and ensuring form completion.
• Verifies, updates, and scans new and returning patient information.
• Completes the patient check-out process, including collecting any outstanding balances, providing patient with correspondence from practices, and scheduling return appointments.
• Maintains a positive demeanor with patients, peers, supervisors, and physicians, especially when receiving feedback or direction.
• Enters patient admitting information into computer.
• Obtains signed statement from patient to protect clinic's interests.
• Collects copays and/or payments on account.
• Other duties as assigned.
