About The Position

Accountable to the Assistant Manager of Radiology and Manager, the MRI Imaging Aide is responsible for assisting the MRI radiologic technologist during MRI exams. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of a fast-paced MRI department, requiring a talented multitasker with excellent communication and computer skills.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification upon hire.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
• Competency in caring for patients of all ages, disabilities, genders, and ethnicities.
• Good computer skills to utilize the current Radiology Information System.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum six months previous pediatric experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the MRI radiologic technologist during MRI exams.
• Confirm appointments and perform the initial safety screening process.
• Schedule patients and assist in maximizing table time through efficient and safe room turn-around.
• Assist patients on/off the MRI table and set up coils.
• Transport patients when needed and visit patient floors to deliver items like MRI safe IV pumps.
• Update families on patient status during exams, especially those involving anesthesia.
• Sanitize equipment and maintain in-room supplies.
• Operate CR, RIS, PACS, and CD burner.
• Perform other related duties as required.
