About The Position

Illinois Bone & Joint Institute, LLC (IBJI) is seeking a Float MRI/CT Technologist for a Full Time (40 hours) opportunity. This position will provide coverage as needed at locations in Des Plaines, Glenview, and Morton Grove. IBJI is the largest orthopedic group practice in Illinois, offering comprehensive care with over 150 physicians and more than 100 locations. They specialize in advanced MRI imaging, pain management, surgical and non-surgical treatments, rheumatology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, wellness, and sports training. IBJI is dedicated to helping patients move better and live better through cutting-edge technology and modern practice techniques.

Requirements

  • Current state of Illinois IEMA Certification
  • Current ARRT Certification in both Radiography and MRI
  • Able to operate C-arm to perform arthrograms
  • Current CPR certification
  • Experience working in high-stress environments
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Ability to travel to different facilities as needed
  • Ability to work as a team with receptionists, physicians, and clinical staff
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs to waist height

Nice To Haves

  • Orthopedic experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment for imaging and anything related on various areas of the body in order to provide high quality images and information for patient diagnosis.
  • Address patient concerns during the procedures, and explain the MRI process to the patient in a way that is informative but also reassuring.
  • Use tact, courtesy and poise when dealing with patients, keeping them calm and ensuring that they get the best care possible.
  • Communicate effectively with radiologists and other health care professionals.
  • Troubleshoot peripheral equipment and scanners to ensure that equipment is operating properly to avoid downtime or delays that affect patient satisfaction.
  • Ensure patient safety with aseptic injection technique and pre-screening for any contra-indications before the procedure.
  • Ability to use C-arm when needed
  • Handle high-stress environments in a calm manner when treating patients, co-workers, and physicians.
