About The Position

The Multi-Regional Clinical Trials Center of Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard (MRCT Center) is an academic research and policy center focused on increasing the integrity, safety, and rigor of global clinical trials. The center identifies emerging challenges and develops ethical, actionable solutions by engaging diverse stakeholders from industry, academia, patient advocacy groups, non-profits, and regulatory agencies. The MRCT Center is part of the Division of Global Health Equity (DGHE) at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. This position is for a part-time student researcher (paid hourly, up to 15 hours/week) during the 2026-27 academic year. The role is designed to provide a mentored scholarly program for bachelor’s and master’s level students, allowing them to work on literature reviews, conceptual or normative work, empirical analysis of public data (e.g., ClinicalTrials.gov), and qualitative research such as interviews and data coding. It is ideal for students interested in ethics, policy, and clinical research and can fulfill academic internship or practicum requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Outstanding academic record
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with academic writing, including literature reviews and citation software (e.g., Zotero).
  • Design and communication skills
  • Working understanding of various AI platforms
  • Must be reliable and punctual.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Strong oral communication skills.
  • Ability to take and follow direction.
  • Willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Contributing to normative, conceptual, or empirical work products related to a range of MRCT Center’s emerging and/or ongoing projects.
  • Literature reviews.
  • Data collection and analysis (secondary/publicly available sources).
  • Scholarly/academic writing.
  • Qualitative data collection and related analytical activities.
