About The Position

The MRB Liaison Engineer – Structures provides engineering support to production by evaluating structural non conformances and developing safe, compliant, and cost-effective repair solutions. The role works closely with manufacturing and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure aircraft structural integrity while supporting production objectives. This position supports production operations and requires working evening, night, or weekend shifts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in aircraft structural engineering, MRB, or airframe repair within an aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft primary and secondary structures, structural repair principles, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with CATIA V5.
  • Familiarity with MRB software and engineering documentation systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and structural problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent technical judgment and practical engineering approach.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • High level of accountability and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic production environment.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive and team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and resolve structural non-conformances affecting aircraft production.
  • Review Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and develop structural repair dispositions in accordance with engineering standards and approved practices.
  • Perform on-aircraft investigations and collect technical data to support repair development and root cause analysis.
  • Evaluate metallic and composite airframe structures to determine appropriate corrective actions.
  • Ensure repairs maintain structural integrity, regulatory compliance, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with stress analysis, design engineering, materials and processes, manufacturing, quality, and operations teams to achieve production goals.
  • Accurately document engineering decisions and MRB dispositions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing productivity and reducing waste.
  • Apply AS9100 quality requirements and company engineering procedures throughout all assigned activities.
