About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical MRB Engineer who excels in an aerospace repair environment. You will take ownership of the quality clinic and MRB process — managing daily backlog reporting, leading MRB and corrective action meetings, performing technical evaluations, conducting root cause analysis, and driving timely, compliant, and cost-effective dispositions. This role requires strong technical expertise in interpreting blueprints and travelers, developing rework instructions in collaboration with SMEs, tracking key metrics (quantity, cost, aging), and generating actionable reports/dashboards. You will collaborate effectively with engineering, production, and customers while ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational and time-management skills, excellent verbal and written communication abilities, and a proactive problem-solving mindset. Outstanding candidates are collaborative, analytical thinkers who can deliver clear technical documentation and implement process improvements that enhance quality, efficiency, and accountability. Summary: Manages the quality clinic, responsible for reporting current backlog daily, and coordinate with operations to prioritize items in the clinic. Evaluate and disposition nonconforming materials and components through the MRB process. Ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective resolutions while driving root cause corrective actions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read and interpret design blueprints and manufacturing operation travelers.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to write clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Extensive experience with computer modeling software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical thinker.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and to collaborate with others.
  • Ability to complete projects on time and to specification.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to work after-hours when required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a relevant discipline
  • Experience with thermal spray, brazing, welding, or machining repairs

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily MRB meetings, corrective action board meetings.
  • Coordinate with operations to prioritize NMR dispositions
  • Perform technical evaluations, root cause analysis, and risk assessment.
  • Disposition nonconformances
  • Develop rework/repair instructions in coordination with SMEs.
  • Track MRB metrics (quantity, cost, aging) and generate reports/dashboards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and customers on corrective actions.
  • Reading and interpreting technical blueprints and design models.
  • Determining problem resolutions and implementing improvements.
  • Developing and implementing cost-saving measures and quality control systems.
