At the Center for Education Policy Research at Harvard University (CEPR), our mission is to transform education through the power of quality evidence. We believe that if we want to dramatically improve educational outcomes for all children, evidence must play a critical role. The MQI Coaching Project Manager will be a key member of the Mathematics Teaching and Teacher Learning (MTTL) team at CEPR. In particular, the MQI Coaching Project Manager will lead the fee-for-service contracts work across multiple sites and will also provide support for some grant-funded research project work. MQI Coaching provides math-specific professional development to teachers and coaches to help improve mathematics instruction. This role is situated on a team (MTTL) focused on improving mathematics teaching and teacher learning with faculty lead Dr. Heather Hill, as well as another Project Manager, a Project Coordinator, a Senior Manager, and a Director. This Project Manager’s primary responsibilities will include management and oversight of the MTTL team’s fee-for-service partners and associated work. They will supervise a cohort of MQI Coaching e-coaches and collaborate with district partners to customize MQI Coaching coach training needs for each client. They will be expected to do so with a high level of independence and autonomy, with training and support from the MTTL Senior Manager. This person will be essential to the growth of the larger team, both in our ability to develop innovative content, scale up newly developing coaching models, and secure new partnerships.
