About The Position

The MQ-9 UAS Pilot II acts as pilot in command (PIC) of MQ-9A aircraft and provides safe aircraft operation in CONUS and/or OCONUS locations. The role follows a rotational schedule: travel to a CONUS work location for approximately three months of operations, followed by approximately three months at home before the next rotation. The pilot participates in all phases of flight, including planning and briefing, execution, debriefing, and crew resource management. The position requires adherence to military, civilian, ICAO, and FAA flight rules and provides expertise in unmanned aircraft operations. The pilot also develops briefing and training materials and contributes technical knowledge to support the safe and efficient integration of UAS into the National Airspace System (NAS). This work involves collaboration with US Government organizations and the Original Equipment Manufacturer, with the goal of integrating UAS without reducing capacity, decreasing safety, negatively affecting existing operators, or unreasonably increasing risks to airspace users, people, or property.
