About The Position

As the MQ-4C Ground Station Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the operational readiness and technical integrity of ground station facilities. This is a part-time position that will be based out of NAS Patuxent River, MD. Remote/hybrid work may be considered. Some on site presence at NAS Patuxent River, MD may be required. Performing mechanical and electrical logistics and engineering reviews of trailer- and building-based ground station designs, drawings, updates, and Engineering Change Proposals, ensuring compliance with military and commercial standards. Conducting engineering and logistics analysis of ground station electrical and thermal loads, and manage facility plans, methods, and best practices to optimize performance and safety. Traveling to conduct site surveys at deployed locations both within the U.S. (CONUS) and abroad (OCONUS) (on occasion). This description outlines the general nature and scope of the role. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of related experience is required.
  • Ability to build positive, collaborative relationships across teams and with external partners.
  • Effective communicator with strong verbal and written skills.
  • Proactive, self-directed work style with the ability to operate independently.
  • Analytical thinker with proven problem-solving capabilities.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance. Must be eligible to obtain a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. Selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
