As a Ground Control Systems Technician (GCS), you will work inside a cutting-edge, one-of-a-kind RPA Operations facility, supporting the daily operations of an Air Force RPA (Remotely Piloted Aircraft) control station. In this role, you’ll immerse yourself in tech maintenance, using Air Force Technical Data to keep advanced systems in peak condition. Your contributions will include troubleshooting, installing innovative IT equipment, and testing new gear, all while collaborating with experts from various fields and taking on projects that stretch your skills. This isn’t a 9-to-5 job—it’s a 24/7/365 operating environment that demands a flexible mindset and a readiness to work rotating shifts, ensuring our mission never stops.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree paired with up to 2 years of electronics experience (or relevant experience substituting a degree) that offers you a solid grounding in electronics maintenance and repair.
  • Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and data tables, plus proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • A readiness to work on non-traditional schedules in our round-the-clock environment, and the physical capability to handle heavy items.
  • A current TOP SECRET SCI Security Clearance is required to be a vital part of this elite team.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver daily maintenance, servicing, and repair for RPA ground control stations.
  • Lead the charge in installing new hardware and software, and support exciting system initiatives.
  • Accurately document maintenance data, complete air crew debriefings, and keep meticulous records in compliance with Technical Orders using the IMDS system.
  • Work hand-in-hand with a diverse team of experts while also flexing your independent problem-solving skills on moderately complex projects.
