About The Position

The Roll Coater Operator is responsible for ensuring the consistent quality of materials processed through adhesive‑coating operations. This role performs the full set‑up, operation, monitoring, and shutdown of adhesive coating equipment while maintaining strict adherence to safety, quality, and production standards. Responsibilities also include maintaining proper adhesive levels, adjusting equipment to achieve correct adhesive application, and conducting required quality checks such as peel tests. The operator will complete all documentation accurately, perform coil changes, and ensure equipment is cleaned and properly shut down at the end of each production run. This is a physically demanding job with consistent heavy lifting in a climate-controlled environment.

Requirements

  • Ability to accurately follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Basic math skills with ability to properly read a tape measure.
  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • The job requires standing throughout the entire shift. Short distance walking of 5-15 feet on a periodic basis during the shift.
  • The job requires frequent lifting and stacking of banded door panels to various levels. Maximum required individual lifting limit is 45lbs and 50+lbs for team lift.
  • Pushing of carts is often required with occasional pulling; A force of 50lbs is required to move a loaded cart; Pushing over 50 lbs. requires two people.
  • Must be able to grip small objects to cut rubber and maneuver hands/wrists in consistent repetitive motion.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the quality of material being processed.
  • Responsible for set-up and operation of adhesive coating equipment.
  • Always keep an adequate level of adhesive in machines.
  • Keep machines adjusted to apply the proper amount of adhesive.
  • Be able to determine adhesive requirements from the quality checks and peel tests.
  • Operate the equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform quality checks and full out reports as required.
  • Perform coil changes and changeovers.
  • Shut down and clean up equipment at the end of the run.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure the working area is safe, clean and organized.
  • Perform any other duties or special projects as assigned.
