The EPS Bottom Angle role is responsible for installing bottom rails and weather seals on the bottom section of garage doors. This role ensures a tight, durable seal that prevents water, air, drafts, debris, and pests from entering while maintaining smooth door operation and enhancing energy efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Ability to accurately follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Basic math skills with ability to properly read a tape measure.
  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • The job requires standing throughout the entire shift. Short distance walking of 5-15 feet on a periodic basis during the shift.
  • The job requires frequent lifting and stacking of banded door panels to various levels. Maximum required individual lifting limit is 45lbs and 50+lbs for team lift.
  • Pushing of carts is often required with occasional pulling; A force of 50lbs is required to move a loaded cart; Pushing over 50 lbs. requires two people.
  • Must be able to grip small objects to cut rubber and maneuver hands/wrists in consistent repetitive motion.

Responsibilities

  • Attach metal or reinforced bottom rails/brackets to the lower edge of garage door sections using appropriate tools.
  • Precisely cut, fit, and secure flexible rubber or vinyl weather seals into the rail channel for optimal compression and sealing against the floor.
  • Measure and align components to specifications, ensuring proper fit across uneven surfaces and compatibility with various door models.
  • Inspect installed seals and rails for secure attachment, uniform appearance, and functionality; perform adjustments or replacements as needed.
  • Report material defects, maintain clean workstations, and adhere to safety protocols when handling sharp edges or power tools.
  • Ensure the working area is safe, clean and organized.
  • Perform any other duties or special projects as assigned.
