About The Position
This is a seasonal position with the City of Lebanon, not to exceed 6 months. It is a great entry-level opportunity for individuals interested in grounds maintenance. Seasonal employees are eligible to apply for regular, full-time positions within the City of Lebanon during their seasonal employment if they meet the qualifications.
Requirements
- Minimum 8th Grade education.
- Valid TN driver's license and clear driving record is strongly desired, OR ability to obtain a Tennessee Driver's License within 30 to 60 days from hire.
- Capable of performing laborious tasks over extended periods of time.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in grounds and landscaping, maintenance, painting, general carpentry.
Responsibilities
- Mowing, weed eating, and grounds keeping.
- Litter pick up duties.
- Follow written and verbal instructions from the crew leader and clients.
- Load and unload equipment and tools into work vehicles.
- Drive work vehicles to and from sites.
- Adhere to all safety precautions.
