About The Position
Southwest Tennessee Community College is seeking a Part-time Temporary Mover for the Library. This role is part of a time-limited library organization project and involves cataloging materials, packing, labeling, and preparing them for various destinations. The position is expected to work approximately 25 hours per week.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to organize and track materials
Nice To Haves
- Experience with library cataloging
Responsibilities
- Remove books and other library materials from shelves
- Catalog materials using Library of Congress Classification (LCC) standards
- Verify and update bibliographic records
- Pack materials in boxes
- Label boxes clearly
- Sort and organize materials
- Maintain inventory logs
- Transport materials within the facility
- Assist in identifying duplicate or sale-eligible materials
- Other duties as required
