This position involves diagnosing and managing patients with movement disorders and other neurologic conditions. The role requires utilizing advanced clinical skills and state-of-the-art diagnostic tools to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies. Key responsibilities include performing neurotoxin injections for conditions like dystonia and spasticity, engaging in patient selection, education, and programming of deep brain stimulators (all three devices) and other advanced therapies. The role also involves patient selection, education, and programming of continuous medication infusion pumps for movement disorder treatment. Performing Neurology procedures such as skin biopsy and lumbar puncture is also part of the role. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including neurosurgeons, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists, is essential for optimizing patient care. Additionally, the position contributes to the development and implementation of clinical protocols and guidelines to improve patient outcomes and engages in community outreach and education to raise awareness about movement disorders.
