The clinical teams at the area’s clinics are improving outcomes, lowering the number of hospital readmissions and reducing avoidable costs associated with treating chronic conditions. The UnityPoint Clinic team is known for excellence and quality patient care putting patients at the center of their care to provide the best level of health and well-being. This well-established movement disorders practice has a large referral system with 300+ affiliated primary care providers. The program includes a well-established educational system for Parkinson's patients and is supported by RNs with extensive neurology experience. There is a significant opportunity to see a variety of movement disorders including botulinum injections and DBS programming. We are affiliated with the American Parkinson Disease Association and offer opportunities for research in movement disorders.
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Movement Disorder fellowship trained
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neurology
- Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of State
- Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician’s field of practice
- Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
- J-1 waiver sponsorship available
Responsibilities
- Full time opportunity to join an established and growing outpatient practice within a large multi-hospital health system network
- Clinic locations in Iowa Methodist Medical Center and Lakeview Medical Park serving all of the Des Moines metro
- Experienced nurses with combined 175 years of experience in neurology
- Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination
- No call responsibilities; 24/7 neurohospitalist support
