About The Position

The Shipping & Receiving Operator coordinates shipping documents and reconciles production reporting daily, and prepares transport documents for out-of-country shipments. The position is responsible for maintaining accurate, organized shipping records and entering information into BAAN/SAP. It also provides backup coverage for the Logistics Specialist and other department employees when assigned. The role works in an office setting with minimal physical demands and requires driving a company vehicle.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• At least 1 year of experience in an administrative support role and/or a shipping and receiving position at a manufacturing facility or distribution center.
• Ability to use computer systems, including MRP and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read and interpret documents in the local language, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to perform mathematical functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, and interpret Pareto charts, bar graphs, flow charts, and other quality tools.
• Ability to operate a lift truck and have or be able to obtain a forklift truck license.
• Ability to pass the company's driving requirements; certain vehicles may require a specific driver's license and additional driving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the receipt, filing, and accuracy of shipping documents.
• Prepare shipping documents, including documents for out-of-country shipments, and ensure required documents are accurately completed and maintained in an orderly file.
• Complete entries into BAAN/SAP accurately and on time.
• Create plan shipment documents.
• Provide backup coverage for the Logistics Specialist and other department employees when assigned.
• Operate a lift truck; obtain a forklift truck license if not already held.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
