About The Position

Responsible for safely setting up, maintaining, and operating moulding machines for upscale furniture.

Requirements

• Must be able to walk, stand, climb, stoop, twist, push, pull and bend over the course of 8 hours
• Must be able to lift or push up to 50lbs.
• Must be able to read a route sheet

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous moulding operator experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Sets up and/or adjust any moulder in plant
• Checks stock at beginning and during run for condition of moulding
• Makes rough visual inspection of all parts and discards cull pieces
• Checks against sketches or master patterns
• Helps count parts when run is complete
• Checks condition of knives, heads, and other parts of moulder as necessary
• Takes knives to file room for storage and/or sharpening
• May operate Mould Sander machine
• Observes plant safety rules
• Keeps work area clean and is quality conscious in performing duties
• Performs other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor
