About The Position

Own the development of CAE methods and tools used to study the integration and resulting performance of the GM race vehicles. Lead development of an in-house simulation toolchain for all GM’s race programs. Develop a complete simulation toolchain for maximizing vehicle on-track performance across all GM race series. Set direction and bring state of the art simulation methods to the program. Define and implement best practices in vehicle and subsystems modeling, vehicle dynamics target setting, R&D in CAE methods, data analytics and XiL development. Play a key role in managing the development of GM’s simulation program. Build and manage a multi-disciplinary team of engineers. Develop and implement efficient RT capable multibody models in a simulation toolchain. Create new simulation and analytical techniques aimed at maximizing on track performance. Supervise an inter-functional team, defining guidelines and ensuring an effective and efficient flow of information within different functions. Supervises four Motorsports Vehicle Dynamics Simulation Engineer, one Motorsports Vehicle Dynamics Optimization Tech Specialist, and one Motorsports Simulation Software Engineer.
