About The Position

This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electric chain hoists, hand-operated hoists, and power distribution systems. The technician will also assemble power distribution products under the supervision of the department lead. The position requires attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work collaboratively. A basic understanding of mechanical systems, electrical systems, computers, and wiring diagrams is necessary. The role also involves physical labor, including lifting, and requires a high school diploma and some experience with electrical equipment.

Requirements

• Familiarity with soldering, use of a multimeter and use of standard tools
• Attention to detail with a strong emphasis on accuracy to ensure production at expected quality and quantity levels.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems.
• Ability to perform general assembly techniques.
• Ability to work collaboratively with employees.
• Basic knowledge of computers.
• Basic knowledge of 3 phase electrical systems.
• Lifting and physical labor is required.
• Ability to read basic wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Check, maintain, troubleshoot, repair electric chain hoist, hand operated hoist and power distribution systems used in a demanding market.
• Follow procedures and diagrams to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are met.
• Operate test equipment when needed.
• Required to solder and de-solder wires and electronic components.
• Maintain a working knowledge of regulations and safety policies to ensure duties are performed in a safe manner.
• Perform other duties or projects as assigned.
