We are currently hiring Full-Time Motorcoach Trainer for our Cranston, RI location!

Requirements

  • CDL Class B with Passenger (P) Endorsement and Airbrake.
  • Must have an acceptable driving record and meet DMV and DATTCO eligibility standards.
  • Ability to pass the International Motor Coach Group on-line training curriculum and other training certifications.
  • Must meet DOT/FMCSA medical qualification standards, including the physical qualification standards in 49 CFR Part 391, and maintain a valid DOT medical certificate as required.
  • Must successfully complete all required pre-employment screening, including state and national criminal background checks, motor vehicle record checks, pre-employment drug testing, and any other screenings required by law or DATTCO policy.
  • Must participate in DOT/FMCSA and/or state required random drug and alcohol testing programs as applicable to CDL drivers.
  • Strong audio, visual, and electronics systems knowledge.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to write narrative reports, evaluations, and event summaries.
  • Excellent computer skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience training drivers is preferred.
  • Experience within the Motorcoach industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform behind the wheel training in full size Motor Coach Equipment in major metropolitan areas such as Boston and New York.
  • Responsible for classroom and skills training for new driver applicants, retraining and remedial coaching sessions.
  • Review recorded events within a multi-platform event recorder system.
  • Scheduling drivers for training, event review, and coaching sessions.
  • Assist drivers with understanding and compliance with company policies.
  • Drug and alcohol specimen collection.
  • Monitor hours of service compliance via electronic and manual logging formats.
  • Responsible for timely review, response, and reporting of recorded events.
  • Perform field audits on driver performance and compliance duties.
  • Serve as a mentor and resource to drivers, coworkers, and the bus industry.
