Motor Vehicle Examiner II - Temporary
About The Position
Join the Springfield DMV team in a fast-paced, customer-focused role! The Motor Vehicle Examiner II will issue licenses, permits, and Commercial Driver's Licenses, and will administer written and road tests. The position will also assist with vehicle registrations, renewals, and provide general customer support. The ideal candidate will: Work well independently and can make sound decisions Have strong attention to detail Deliver excellent customer service Have the ability to handle and process large sums of money accurately This is an in-person temporary position based at the Springfield DMV. It is anticipated this position will work up to 40 hours per week for 7 months. The hours are Monday to Friday, 7:45am to 4:30pm.
Requirements
- Four (4) or more years of work experience that includes public contact functions
- Agree to be finger-printed and pass a background investigation
- A current, valid driver's license is required
- Applicant's vision must be correctable to 20/40 (Snellen Test) in both eyes, with normal color perception and field of vision
- A valid Commercial driver's license with all endorsements is required within one (1) year of employment
