The Motor Grader Operator is responsible for safely operating a motor grader to perform rough and finish grading on roads, building pads, haul roads, and other heavy civil construction projects.

Requirements

Valid driver's license required
Knowledge of grading techniques and grade control
Ability to read and interpret plans and grade stakes
Strong commitment to safety
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred
Minimum 2 years of motor grader operating experience preferred
Heavy civil construction or road construction experience preferred

Responsibilities

Operate a motor grader to grade, level, and shape earth, gravel, and aggregate materials
Perform rough and finish grading to project specifications
Read grade stakes, site plans, and survey markings
Utilize GPS machine control systems when equipped
Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
Work closely with grade checkers, survey crews, and other operators
Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Assist with other duties as assigned
Travel may be required
Overnight travel may be required
Extended hours and weekend work may be required
